Jesús estableció dos ordenanzas (sacramentos) para recordar su muerte y resurrección: 

El bautismo en agua y la Santa Cena. Ambas apuntan al sacrificio de Jesús en la cruz y nos invitan a vivir una vida consagrada a Él.

“Pedro les respondió: ‘Arrepiéntanse y bautícese cada uno de ustedes en el nombre de Jesucristo para perdón de sus pecados, y recibirán el don del Espíritu Santo.’”

 — Hechos 2:38

Creemos que el bautismo por inmersión es un mandato para todos los que se han arrepentido de sus pecados y han creído en Cristo como su Señor y Salvador. Es una declaración pública de la salvación que ya se ha recibido y simboliza el morir al viejo yo y resucitar a una nueva vida en Cristo (Romanos 6:3–4).

Preparación para el Bautismo:

Para bautizarse, es necesario haber experimentado un arrepentimiento genuino, lo cual incluye una decisión de apartarse del pecado y vivir en obediencia a la Palabra de Dios. Esto también implica dejar prácticas que no honran a Dios, como la convivencia sin el compromiso del matrimonio. Dios llama a sus hijos a la santidad y al orden en todas las áreas de la vida, incluyendo la sexualidad (Hebreos 13:4; 1 Tesalonicenses 4:3–5).

 ¿Acaso no saben ustedes que todos los que fuimos bautizados para unirnos con Cristo Jesús en realidad fuimos bautizados para participar en su muerte?  Por tanto, mediante el bautismo fuimos sepultados con él en su muerte. De modo que, así como Cristo resucitó por el glorioso poder del Padre, también nosotros andemos en una vida nueva

We believe that baptism by immersion is a command for all who have repented of their sins and believed in Christ as Lord and Savior. It is a public declaration of the salvation already received and symbolizes dying to the old self and rising to new life in Christ (Romans 6:3–4).

Preparing for Baptism:

 To be baptized, one must have undergone genuine repentance, which includes a decision to turn away from sin and live in obedience to God’s Word.

 This also means leaving behind lifestyles that do not honor God, such as cohabiting without the covenant of marriage. God calls His children to holiness and order in every area of life, including sexual purity (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5).
